just like many of whom I read here, I am currently trying to play a little with Jasper and the Wolfson audio card.
I had Jasper up and running with a USB mic (standard setup, no tweeks) without the wolfson card already.
I was pretty happy when I found Ragnar Jensens kernel image, use case scripts etc. and I got most of it working so far.
The problem I experience is the following though:
When recording audio from DMIC and continuously speaking the wave file misses the first 3 seconds of audio.
It sounds like the volume slowly increases crackingly until it reaches a somehow acceptable quality at 3 seconds.
When I try to record audio through line input or headset, I do just have a crackling sound at the beginning of the file, but no sound at all.
Following the scematics found here, I already played a little with the input volumes in alsamixer but that didn't quite help.
Just to be sure to not having used a dead microphone I tried out several of which I have here.
They are all not pre-amplified due to the reason that I try to avoid additional power consumption.
I'm not quite sure how to come around with it.
Do you have any suggestions?
