The milking stool might be one-legged as well. These days you would call it a wearable or smart furniture.

Ha! Actually in English English, a stool is a stool because of its height not because of the number of legs. We have plenty of four-legged stools and three-legged chairs. At work we had a stool with no legs, just a semi-inflated ball which was as hard to sit on as it sounds.

My estimation is microamps.The RP2040 is definitely an order of magnitude higher so it masks the WiFi module's sleep mode.

Keep in mind my measurement was with a daily build of MicroPython. So, it's possible the consumption is a bit lower now.

But, as Jan Cumps said, the RP2040 isn't known for its low-power abilities. I think the datasheet value for deep sleep is around 1 milliamp!

The Pico isn't that good at power saving. The Raspberry designers mentioned it wasn't one of their main goals.

The new SDK1.5 comes with some low power examples (in PicoSDKv1.5.0\pico-playground\sleep). I'll have a shot at measuring them.

Maybe a cutty stool or a milking stool, but in this (non-stool) case it is usually called "the three pillars".

In my case the 3 pillars are: external knowledge (Google etc.), internal knowledge, ingenuity (extracting useful knowledge to formulate a solution). Sometimes I can stand on just two legs...☺
