I'm still waiting to get a hold of a Raspberry Pi 5 myself, we have one shared internally at the moment and that's being passed around to be able to confirm some details!
I've put up a first draft of the Pi 5 Pinout

RE: Raspberry Pi 5 GPIO - Is it the same?

Register addresses may be changed : (

I had this problem with Pi code transitioning from Pi 3 to Pi 4. Some apps use low-level interfaces, and broke in that transition.

For a LoRaWAN plug-on module, it claimed Pi 3 and Pi 4 compatibility but actually only worked on Pi 3 (which wasn't an issue since the throughput is so low, the Pi 3 was more than adequate).
