Why does the price of the Raspberry Pi 5 seem higher than originally quoted?

I've seen claims of $80 for the board, but after exchange rate and in the store it is a lot higher, why is that?

Original prices quoted do not typically include local taxes, VAT and shipping costs, typically. Eg. in the UK VAT is 20%, &pound;65.93 quickly turns into &pound;79.12 
 The Raspberry Pi 5 costs differently depending on which version you order 
 
 Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of the Raspberry Pi 5 with 4GB of RAM is $60.00 USD. 
 Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of the Raspberry Pi 5 with 8GB of RAM is $80.00 USD.
