Suggestion: You need a little more mechanics, namely deflection mechanics. How I could see, you mounted the flags directly on the servos.

With gears and deflection rods, you can deflect the flags much better without the servo having to be installed heavily "bent".

Just think about how the joints should work ..

That is pretty cool. It would be nice if you could make the 'off' segments a bit more invisible, but all in all the effect works.
