Is a tutorial for coding or configuring this project available? If so, please provide a link for this project or a similar projects. I recently purchase my first Raspberry Pi and this is something that I'm interested in.

Standards-based PoE module now complete! It replaces the non-standard PoE which was originally used in HAL-CAM. It supplies 5V up to 2.5A, so useful for other projects too.

A different design heatsink (fins rotated 90 deg) may allow for better heat conduction and drop it down a few degrees.

The obvious answer is a metal case, but then the onboard Wifi doesn't work ....

POE would work only if you have the ability to run a connection and add a cheap Wifi router/AP.

I'm curious over why you chose the glass lens over just acrylic.

Glass has the obvious thermal issues and fogging in cold climates.

It seems that any 'UV' filter will work as a waterproof hole, and since most are that much larger than the camera, can simply be siliconed in place.

Great construction article Shabaz, what alternatives to having a heatpipe and big external heatsink have you considered?

Shabaz you can get 2.5mm Spacers quite easily from the 'bay I've just bought a pack of 160 of them.

The only thing is that now every one calls them RPI spacers and charge 3 times as much as the M3 spacers.

Terms Arduino/RPI compatatble are basicaly a tax on 'bay ironic as many of the items are generic or work poorly on their "target" platform.

I have recently been experimenting with heat pipes too, I like the way you created a simple jig for bending them.
