December has been a good month for USB-C Power Delivery projects and experimentation. I hope it continues into the next year.
Here are some new blog posts that were created during December! They could be of interest to anyone curious abo

RE: USB-C Power Delivery – Getting Voltages out of a Charger using Pi Pico and Python!

Nice project.

I was amazed at all of the possible options under the USB C specification.

RE: USB-C Power Delivery – Getting Voltages out of a Charger using Pi Pico and Python!

There is a cute dmm graphic here too:

Exploring USB-PD has been on my todo list for some time so I am excited to follow along and hopefully contribute something useful!

RE: USB-C Power Delivery – Getting Voltages out of a Charger using Pi Pico and Python!

Nice experiment/blog. USB-C has a lot of potential and looks like something I should be looking into. Learning how to use it has been on my TODO list for some time, but from what I've seen so far it looks like it will require some effort to learn it. There are lots of ICs around and it appears none is trivial to use. The alternative is of course to used a fixed DC power supply, but then you would need to carry it around, vs relying on that most people probably own a USB-PD supply. I also like the fact that its safer to rely on USB-PD than on connecting the right barrel connector, and also that a single USB-PD can provide different voltages to different projects.
