When I get comfortable with it I will want to be able to follow a couple of moderate then advanced tutorials. I hope you will do that at some point.

Just having the Intellisense makes programming for PI Pico so much easier. I hope the files include the Pico W. Do you know if there is a source for other libraries that can be added to PyCharms to support Intellisense? I'm interested in using MQTT for example.

RE: Getting Started with the MicroPython in PyCharm for Raspberry Pi Pico.

Thanks. I have wanted to have intellisense but had issues with Visual Studio. I was not aware that PyCharm also included a pretty good REPL. All on windows, which is even better. I haven't tried debugging but hope that is possible. If not this is better than nothing [emoticon:9b06bfad0e6a482e801e5eb8fd9025d6]

I have heard about PyCharms, but have never taken the time to explore it.

Maybe this year.

RE: Getting Started with the MicroPython in PyCharm for Raspberry Pi Pico.

This is great! I too would greatly prefer to use PyCharm instead of Thonny. Getting tired of using limited IDEs that do not do much code-checking.

I wasn't sure if the console (REPL) window would be present, but you've shown it is, and it works. I have PyCharm installed (well, an older version that I should upgrade) - looking forward to trying it out with the Pico!

RE: Getting Started with the MicroPython in PyCharm for Raspberry Pi Pico.

I couldnt tell my the photos, is your pycharm installed on a windows or linux machine ?
