Halloween Raspberry Pi Build-A-Long

in

{tabbedtable} Tab LabelHalloween Raspberry Pi Build-A-Long
Description

It’s almost Halloween (well not really, but its close!). At element14, we’ve already started looking at what we can build with either the Pi Sense Hat or the new Pi Touchscreen 7.0.

We're so excited that we’ve decided to give away 10 Pi Sense Hats and  7-inch Pi Touchscreens along with other goodies for you to Build-A-Long with two awesome Halloween projects from Charles_Gantt

The Projects:

Foginator 2000

Featuring the Sense Hat, is a social data-logging device disguised as a regular fog machine.

AND

Trick or Trivia Halloween Candy Dispenser

Featuring the Touch Screen LCD Hat, is a Halloween trivia-based candy dispenser.

How do I enter?

  1. Read the Terms and Conditions tab
  2. Submit an application form by 1 October, 2015.

What should I include in my application?

Be prepared for a challenge! We've given you the basic parts to get started, but there'll be trials ahead to get your project off the ground, and they may not seem obvious at first. As such, the key to your application is to demonstrate that you have the skills to build a Raspberry Pi project. You can be a teacher, engineer or hobbyist, but you do need to show a basic level of technical aptitude. This may not be as straightforward as you think and you're going to have to be comfortable with a bit of hardware hacking to make it suitable and it would be helpful if you're familiar with 3D computer aided design and power management. We'll be judging applications based on:

  1. Demonstrate knowledge of Raspberry Pi and ability to build an electronics project.  For example, you can submit videos, pictures or descriptions of previous work.
  2. Indicate if your preference of a Pi Sense Hat or a Pi Touchscreen 7.0. We only have 10 of each product, so we'll try our best to give everyone their preferred choice. This might not be possible, so please be prepared that you might win either product.

Congrats to the Winners!

    Hello Federico,

in my personal opinion I think that Element14 can perfectly understand these problems. So my suggestion is to go ahead with the project. I think that you can ask to element14Dave but I am almost sure what will be his answer.
