Somewhere, I'd seen that it was targeted to start shipping from Newark / Farnell about a week ago. Waiting with baited breath...

I spoke with someone at Newark Canada about a month ago-they wouldn't even estimate on the wait time....

Well, mine arrived a couple days ago from Newark/Element14. Apparently about a month after folks who ordered them elsewhere, which was disappointing since I've had them back-ordered for about 6 months.

Now, it seems I was lucky to even get them, as a design defect has been found and nobody's selling them now; a recall may be pending. Apparently the power being output is very noisy, which is bad in itself, and one of the symptoms is that the USB/Ethernet chip resets frequently and it can't power a USB device over 200mA.

I ordered two in June, they too arrived earlier this week. I put one through the ringer with an old USB HDD that required two USB ports and it seemed okay.

both that one and the other have been up and running for days without any of the horror stories-I just haven’t tried them yet with any other USB devices.
