This blog is a continuation from Keithley Bench Digital Multimeter - Review
This is an experiment to measure the low current of the solar panels. I have a single solar panel of 5V and roughly 500 mA current output capability. I want to test them under different minimum light conditions to see the lower currents in the solar panel. This is to analyze the current output of the solar panels in milliamps range. As I have not put the solar panels in the sunlight I have not used any protection diode or current limiting resistor at the measurement output.
The initial test setup

Conclusion: As one can see low current measurements with high accuracy is an important feature of benchtop multimeters. I plan to use the Keithley DMM6500 extensively in my future solar panel based projects
