Once I get I2C working (or give up), I'll do a write-up as an actual Road Test review. In the mean time, here are my first impressions and a few notes about the CapSense MBR3 eval kit! www.youtube.com

RE: Road Test video review; Write-up coming soon!

Hi Chris, good video. There is a "fancy chip" on the board but it's just used as an I2C to USB bridge and to quote Gagan, "The PSoC device on this board (PSoC 5LP) comes factory-programmed as a Programmer and Debugger. It currently can not be used standalone."

The configuration can be uploaded to an MBR3 chip and then the MBR3 can be used by itself, so I'm not really sure how a "dev kit" would work in this case, for prototyping you'd really need to start making PCBs as the routing of the wiring is important. The MBR3 does not need a microcontroller so you could even have the GPOs driving transistors to turn on and off a larger load.
