Hi Randall,

once I used Necto.

I usually work with the Microchip MPLAB X 5.5 IDE and it's compilers.
In September I needed some routines for a click card, so I installed Necto. It was very difficult to work with Necto.
This is a framework with an extreme background effort that is scattered on the hard drive in several folders.

Everything you want to do you have to pay for it and technically practically nothing was compatible with the MPLAB compilers.
Everything has to be rewritten to migrate to MPLAB if you want to use it.

The MPLAB IDE has a plug-in for some click-cards, but by no means for many click-cards.

-> The biggest problem was the deinstallation, i.e. erasing it from the hard drive!

I had to look for the parts for Necto everywhere, in the user settings and (project) folders, in the program folder, in the roaming folders, etc. to get the hard drive clean.
Also clean up the PC's registry because there were entries everywhere.

And the whole thing for just a few lines for a chip driver that works with the Microchip µController.

But gladly, if someone wants to install this tool .... All the best!

That Studio is looking with these eyes very expensive.

Never heard of it till now. Had a quick scan of it - can't imagine using it. I use Keil tools for ARM and if I wanted an alternative I would go for a fully free and open source solution.

I just used some MikroC Hardware platforms in the past (Sensors/Interfaces/MCU dev boards/....).

However I never heard Necto.
