For example, for a particular use case, you may ask yourself whether you need to use a MTi-6

RE: Xsens MTi-680-DK: Experimenting with performance - Part 1

Hi [mention:b0ef1987566a449f88b5528635bdfc8a:e9ed411860ed4f2ba0265705b8793d05],

Nice blog post, thanks for sharing!

Your understanding of the Yaw behavior with different filter settings is indeed correct, and so is your assumption that the weight of magnetometer readings in the Yaw estimation algorithm is relatively low. This is because the MTi-680 GNSS/INS is designed to be used in more dynamic, outdoor applications where GNSS data are used to improve Roll, Pitch and Yaw estimates. For indoor or static applications, the MTi-630 AHRS might be a better option because it relies more on magnetometer readings.

Furthermore, the MTi-680 is also available in a ruggedized, aluminum housing including an internal GNSS receiver: the MTi-680G. Similarly, the MTi-630 is also available in ruggedized form: the MTi-630R.

RE: Xsens MTi-680-DK: Experimenting with performance - Part 1

What is that digital protractor normally used for?
