I got this VESA mount arm for my monitors, because it seemed pretty rigid. The mount is extremely rigid (thick metal) so the vertical post doesn't sway etc, however the horizontal portion is (probably deliberately) light on its hinge, i.e. if a user were to touch the screen, it would gently move back, so it's not designed for touch I guess. Great for quickly moving a device out of the way but no good for touch.

I got them from ebay since they are cheap used (no idea how much they cost new). There are dual-arm versions too, e.g. this one.

However, the problem I found is they need a good desk! My IKEA desk was useless, because the desk material is not solid, it contains corrugated paper etc., so it's impossible to get it extremely stable when clamped onto it.

Suggestion: mount the scope on a very snug - or fixed -arm. It 'll still be off your desk, but you'll be able to use the touch screen.

My challenge for you in this road test is to learn and love zooming into a waveform by pinching the screen with your fingers ;)

I like the VESA option, great way to put the scope where you need it.

I wonder why they went with such a reflective screen?

such a beautiful piece of kit. I actually (for real) did prepare a Vesa mount arm on my desk just in case I could be maybe elected as a Roadtester.

Looks like we’ll be getting some great reviews of this scope. Way beyond what I could ever use but I always like the experiments you guys do to test this level of equipment and learn a lot just from those.

A nice first look! When I looked at the RTM3004 I also found that the shiny screen meant an inevitable guest appearance in any photos or videos.
