I'm still intending to do a comparison review with the Dremel 3000 and have put some notes together. I did find a tear down today. One thing of note is some slightly bigger bearings.

The consensus in the German community seems to be that the MicroMot series has much better bearings. This is especially important when you are using it to drill PCB with small diameter drills, with a drill rig (e.g. the MB140). With a Dremel you risk that the drill will break at higher RPMs because of the not-so-precise bearings.

I do own the MB140 together with KT70, and are quite happy (my drill is a IBS/E).

Hi Shabaz,

I too use my Dremel almost daily to cut and shape bits of metal as needed for projects and repairs. I was not aware of this brand and it may not have much market penetration here in the US. Looks good though. One thing that can be useful is to put the speed control on a foot pedal which frees your hands to hold and position and still be able to adjust the speed as you go. While I haven't done this with the dremel it is because I have air drive dental handpieces that are on a foot control that can do some of the jobs that the dremel does. Unfortunately it doesn't have the flexibility for different chucks and one has to use the 2.3 mm diameter shafts. One also has to have a compressor and air lines to the bench. Here is a picture of the dental equivalent in operation.
