Great road test report.

Thanks for the honest assessment of Vivado.

You confirmed my suspicions about the time needed to get up to speed on the FPGA software, which is why I did not enter the road test.

Having build up logic in the past, you cannot just point and click your way to a good design. You need to carefully plan out what you want to do and then figure out how the tools let you do that.

I suspect very few makers have the knowledge and persistence to use FPGA's for casual projects.
