My first post ended with me waiting for it to download. I somehow think that web sites and me just do not go together as it turned out that I downl

RE: BASYS3 RoadTest : SISC#2

Interesting objective - your write-up takes me back to when I was learning to design microprocessors and assembly languages (without VHDL).

Back then there were all sorts of weird designs being implemented. I once worked on a 25 bit computer that dedicated 3 bits to oppcodes. Of the 8 possible instructions, 3 were NOOPs.

RE: BASYS3 RoadTest : SISC#2

Nice update on your process to roadtest this product. Downloading large images and/or updates to my computer scares me like nothing else. I have had problem after problem and wasted days with unpredictable results from installing software, so I can understand your concerns with dealing with websites. Early versions of the Xilinx ISE Webpack were so dependent the version of Internet Explorer that almost anything I downloaded would break my toolset. After my last computer crashed, I have been very careful with what I choose to download.

Good luck moving through your roadtest and enjoy your wine!

Gene
