Was waiting till the Terms and Conditions link was fixed, it was listed somewhere else as a known issue.

Now it's fixed, have to decide what project to do with this.

I did create a proposal at the last minute, as promised, and I have published it, as promised.

It is a bit lacking since I had to complete it in an hour, but that couldn't be helped.

The road test application submission deadline has since been extended, but I didn't know that when I wrote it.

Anyway I hope it helps provide exposure for the road test and it might even help other applications with ideas.

Partially because during the transition to the new website, road tests had a break. I lost the habit to check for them.

It would be cool to have some FAST access radio buttons or tags at the top of the splash page to road test, project 14, and design challenges.

secondly, the featherWing didnt seem unique in features, & I couldnt think of any unique project that could test & exercise the features.

This is the first time I've noticed this Roadtest - another victim of the platform change.

It's not something I would apply for, so no huge loss on this occasion (to me), but it does serve to illustrate how much the new platform has set the E14 project back.

two main reasons why I didn't sign up, firstly, I'm still struggling with the new platform. In the past I got an email for every new road test. Despite subscribing to Roadtests & Reviews, I don't get these emails anymore, so I came across this roadtest quite late. Second, while not swamped with work, still quite busy with other things at the moment.

Nevertheless, the kit looks great, I hope new people will apply and submit nice reviews.

I like sensors, but I already own a couple of this type of sensors so the roadtest is not particularly interesting to me. I would rather apply to something I find more interesting

I chose swamped with work, which is true. But I agree with [mention:2f7f3f52ea644a4ba1053d94e948bd06:e9ed411860ed4f2ba0265705b8793d05]. Still figuring out the links on the new platform. I very much like the feather boards. I’ll think about how to use this in a road test, but time is short.

platformio is probably easy to since there’s a sibling relationship to arduino, but I have never installed it.

This is a nice combination of sensors and development board which should generate interest. I haven’t applied at least partially to give others an opportunity since I’ve been successful in the past but if the number of suitable applications is low I will make a submission.

I am pretty surprised this isn't more popular. It is a very useful kit and a nice form factor.

I would love the kit and make use of it, and I debated applying as usual, which involved devising a neat application, as usual.

I have even already procured a Featherwing to help complete the system.

The reason(s) I haven't applied for the road test are that I am pretty busy on other projects and I also want to give others a better opportunity to win.

I guess I could whip up a proposal tonight in case there aren't enough other suitable applications, but if there are other decent proposals, they should be chosen first.

I'll even post it publicly in case that helps anyone.

Two reasons for me:

1 is that the switch of platforms left me a bit confused as to what all is going on - in Jive there was a summary of contests past, present, and future... not sure if RoadTests were on that same page, but I'm pretty sure a similar summary existed for that. Right now I'm still not sure where to find that.

2 is that this particular combination is actually very interesting, but I'm already getting the data I want using a Wemos D1 Mini with DS18B20 sensor probe and BME280 temperature/humidity/pressure sensor - in a more compact format.

sort of also a 3rd reason - I'm not sure if that setup requires learning a new set of tools - I've pretty much settled into Arduino for the small boards (Python for Raspberry Pi) and I'm still too short on time and energy to start something new right now.

I came across this roadtest just few days ago via a Twitter post from Wurth electronics. I'll consider applying for it in this week.

I think the poor visibility of the road test page is why I missed it. In the old website, you could see the road tests widget on the right hand side along with webinars and events.

Maybe the new website also needs that widget just above the events widget.
