I recently got such a notice. I completely understand the rationale. Unfortunately, Canda Post in our rural community will not sort mail that doesn't contain a PO Box. Yes, there are street addresses but they are ignored especially if the person sorting the mail is not from the community. I have to remind myself that defaulting to PO Box doesn't work for everyone.

My address on this site had the first field PO Box and the second address field street address. It has worked for numerous shipments but recently it raised a flag I guess. I have gone in a reversed the order. The street number is now first.

I find it ironic that the effort to get the correct address doesn't take into consideration the package is left on the doorstep for porch pirates to take advantage of.
