The MSP-EXP430FR5739 Experimenter Board introduces TI's first embedded ferro-electric random access memory (FRAM) based MCU, the MSP430FR5739. The experimenter board is an ideal platform for evaluating the latest in embedded memory technology while allowing the user to easily develop, debug, and implement prototypes in an efficient manner. The MSP430FR5739 device is supported by both IAR Embedded Workbench and Code Compose Studio. It is recommended to download the latest version of the IDE from www.msp430.com.

  • Hey Guys--

Many thanks for your patience. I am thrilled to announce that Texas Instruments has selected everyone who signed up for the MSP-EXP430FR5739 as a winner. That's right-- all 100 of you will be receiving the TI unit in the mail! This is the first time that one of our supplier partners has done this, and we are extremely excited to share the good news with you.

Since you all provided us with your mailing information when you applied for this RoadTest, I should have everything I need to start processing these items with TI. Due to the large number of winners, it will take just a little longer than normal to get these out the door, so please start looking for your item over the next couple of weeks.

TI realizes the value in getting authentic, unbiased product reviews from the element14 community, and I would like to thank you all in advance for taking the time to put together a product review on the unit. We'll send you a separate communication about how to do this, for those who may not be aware of the process.

Congratulations, everyone, and thanks so much for being part of the element14 community!

  • Hi Sagar,

Please convey our appreciation to TI for making this generous contribution to Element 14 members.

TI has always been a class act, I used their TI9900 16 bit microprocessor back in the mid 1970's and it performed wonderfully.  So I look forward to working on their latest development effort.

Thank you and TI for setting up one of the best road tests I have yet seen here at E 14.

This is a fantastic news! I hope, that this decision will encourage the reviewers to do thir best to make good reviews. And, as the proverb says: more eyes see more then one. (or five, as it was planned...)
