Agilent’s 33500B Series waveform generators with exclusive Trueform signal generation technology offer more capability, fidelity and flexibility than traditional DDS generators. Easily generate the full range of signals you need to test your devices with confidence the signal generator is outputting the signals you expect with 12x less jitter and 5x less harmonic distortion. Take advantage of deep memory (1M points standard and optional 16M points) and waveform sequencing. Two-channel models allow you to use the channels independently or sync them in time, amplitude or both.
Q&A
What we would like to see in the road test?
Applications that take advantage of our Trueform technology. Some examples:
Applications that use multiple waveforms; sine waves, square waves, pulses, or custom waveforms.
Applications requiring low harmonic distortion sine waves
Applications that need pulses or square waves with low jitter.
Applications that need point-by-point arbitrary waveform capability – more accurate user defined waveforms.
Applications requiring deep memory or can take advantage of sequencing to create user defined waveforms.
An application that uses IQ signals or needs to output a data pair. E.g. A dual channel custom waveform
Are there certain application areas we would like folks working on?
We believe that most of the applications requiring Trueform Technology will be in: Research, Design, Product Development, Hardware Qualification, and Design Verification. It is less likely to find these applications in; Service, Installation, or Maintenance.

When I came home this afternoon there was a large box on my front porch from Newark/Element 14. I frequently place orders with Newark, but I knew I wasn't expecting any shipments. To my utter surprise and great delight the shipping manifest said the box contained an Agilent 33522B waveform generator. Now, I had applied for the Agilent 33522B road test, but your post of October 2 listed three winners and my name was not amung them. Thus my delight and surprise at receiving this road test product.
I will proceed with the review I outlined in my road test application and report my findings to the Element 14 community.
Thank you for the opportunity to particiapte in this remarkable program.
Sorry I'm a little bit behind on turning in the review. I haven't had as much time as i would have liked due to some extra scheduleing they threw me into for one of my classes, and as a result, I honestly just forgot to post my wright up. Where exactly do I post it at? Is it just a comment here or else where? I'm still kind of new to the format of things around here.
You submit your RoadTest in the following manner -
If you look above at the list of "RoadTesters", you should be able to find your name - next to it will be a link that says "Write Review". Click this, and write your review on the subsequent page.
Please ensure you fill in all the fields and be as thorough as possible.
Kyle - another way to get there is to log in, then use the New menu at the top of the screen.. select Road Test Review from the list. Let us know if you hit any problems.
