Apply to win one of ten Raspberry Pi 2 GPS Kit and Build a Raspberry Pi GPS Project with element14
Geocaching is a global treasure hunt with trackables and geolocation technologies. But, geolocation technologies can be expensive. It is possible to create your own geo-tech using the Raspberry Pi 2 and Pi accessories. Over the next few months, Chris Stanton (element14 staff member), will be building a geo-location aware solution using a Raspberry Pi 2 GPS Kit. However, he needs a team of people to join in and solve different design challenges involved with the project. So, we are giving away ten Raspberry Pi 2 GPS Kit to build a virtual team. This is your chance to share and learn how to use Raspberry Pi 2 to build your own geo-location solution.
Learn more about geocaching and the Raspberry Pi 2 GPS project that cstanton is planning to build.
And, remember:
1. Apply by 3rd July 2015
2. Winners will be selected on the quality of their application. Applicants are asked to demonstrate the ability to be able to build a Raspberry Pi 2 GPS project (soldering, programming and electronics knowledge) and describe why they want to build a geo-location aware Raspberry Pi project.
3. Winners will be expected to blog about their Raspberry Pi project throughout their build, from troubles to alterations and successes! They will also be expected to help join in with other members' questions, suggesting potential solutions or ideas. cstanton will also be on hand to provide ideas and assistance. It's a "Build along". Everyone shares and helps each other solve the design challenges.
