The U1620A is the world’s first handheld scope with a VGA display. This 200 MHz handheld scope offers a floating measurement capability with two CAT III 600 V isolated channels. With a 2 Mpts memory depth, it captures more waveforms from signals such as pulse width modulated circuit, in rush, transient, and motor start up sequences. Its benchtop-like display and dual window zoom function allow you to easily identify problem areas and zooming for more detailed analysis. Now, you can view signals in detail and detect glitches easily.
Q&A
What we would like to see in a person doing the Road Test?
Maximizing the combination of the high sampling rate, deep memory and dual zoom to see more and do more. Feel the difference of using the 3 viewing modes in an indoor, dark or in bright sunlight environments.
Are there certain application areas we would like folks working on?
Any application in the industrial or electronics segment.
i´m also lucky and hope to test all functions and also want you to send me request what you want to see tested and if i´ve the possibility i will test it.
what me scareing about shipping to germany a bit is that i read a post on an german site (don´t know anymore which site exactly it was) for a few day´s where sb. had to pay some import charges and VAT, so what would i´ve to do if there will be a nice letter which would say "please pay wxyz€ import charges and VAT"

in Germany you can import samples up to 50Euro (value, not what you actually payed....) without charges. Above that there is VAT and maybe customs, but as I bought a scope some weeks ago in china I can tell you that customs is currently 0% for DSO's.
I hope te parcel slips through and you just have to pay a brokerage fee or so as the VAT for the scope would be a bit tough I guess.
It more or less depends on what is declared and what customs think of the declaration. At least be prepared as our customs are very strict since the past few years.
I don't know if anyone would refund you the charges or so. That may be to discuss with others.

Indeed, it is very impressive.
But there is something that they have forgotten : They should give away about 1000 kits. Otherwise, there will be so much people to be sad

Very impressive spec sheet. The uses for a small scope with the measurement capability of this unit would be a welcome addition to anyone's workbench.
I think Agilent has a winner here.
