Description
The WXsmart Smart Soldering Platform consists of a 2-channel soldering station and a hot air module with an air and vacuum requirements, from pico to micro and ultra soldering are part of this platform. A calibration unit as well as a soldering tip holder make it a complete platform with which allows easy management of the complete soldering process, from tip to station.

The platform provides six main benefits:
• Connect – Weller WXsmart offers maximum connectivity, supporting IoT standards for full traceability with mobile-enabled, easy remote-control access.
• Smart – The all-in-one station acts as the brain of the workbench by consolidating all soldering applications into one station. The platform fully supports Smart Soldering 4.0 with intelligent tips and tools, saving cost, time and space.
• Control – Total Process Control (TPC) to manage the complete soldering process from tip to station.
• Safe – The first system with built-in cybersecurity to prevent costly downtimes.
• Auto Calibration – Captures accurate data and documentation by automatically re-adjusting its soldering calibration for strong auditing.
• Modularity – Backwards compatibility of tips and tools for soldering, desoldering and hot-air applications, ensures the security of the all-in-one station investment.

With the Total Process Control (TPC), the WXsmart offers maximum connectivity and traceability. The platform fully supports all IoT standards. It is the first hand soldering station with cyber security to prevent costly downtimes.

  • Info on the irons:

    • WXMPS MS handpiece for tips
      That's a 40 W iron
    • WXUPS MS handpiece for RTUS MS tips
      That's 150 W

Both use the banana plug style of tips, and the kit comes with a WCTH  holder to store them. Hot swapping of tips will be easy.

  • I just find out a strange thing:
All the 4 provided tips (RTPS and RTMS series) are compatible with the same WXMPS MS handpiece (40W).
Another WXUPS MS handpiece (150W) is on the list, but it seems that there are no compatible tips is included for this one.
If this is correct, I think I will be happy to buy a couple of them, if I'm lucky roadtester! Grin

  • my (unfounded) guess is that 2 of the 6 blue boxes on the left upper corner of the box hold the high-power tips. The parts listing mentions 4 tips, but there are 6 little containers.

    Good luck with your application.

  • Great observation! I think it's possible, maybe a mistake was made in the parts list.
Strange that you answered me 4 days ago, but I never saw the answer, even if I checked the page often and I have the notifications active on this page...
I wish you good luck too!

I'm not applying. I have a station from this family. I will happily follow along, and support testers if there are question about the WX family.
