RoadTest Goals

  • Working with the documentation, open the box and test the out of the box experience.
  • Show us what you discovered through text, images, videos, and/or any other media, so the reader understands what is involved in using the product.

Description

ABX00063 Arduino GIGA R1 WiFi brings the power of the STM32H7 to the Mega form factor, being the first Mega board to include onboard Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® connectivity. The board provides 76 digital inputs/outputs (12 with PWM capability), 14 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs (DAC) all easily accessible via pin headers. The STM32 microprocessor with dual-core Cortex® M7 and Cortex® M4, together with onboard memory and audio jack enables you to perform machine learning and signal processing on the edge. Target areas are 3D printing, signal processing, maker and robotics. It features camera: 20 pin Arducam camera connector, display: D1N, D0N, D1P, D0P, CKN, CKP, D68-D75, audio jack: DAC0, DAC1, A7 and JTAG connector.

  • I put about a week in the schedule for selection. But that is only an estimate. If it is a roadtest where the sponsor wants to review our selections, the time for notification could be several weeks. If it is a roadtest where more time is needed to review all the applications, a delay could occur. Finally, any applicant considered as an official roadtest needs to be approved for shipment by our company's Trade & Compliance department. Generally, that take a day or so., Once an applicant is approved for shipment, he is notified. I should also say that if there is a delay in selection, the deadlines would be adjusted. The roadtest time is 60 days from the receipt of the product.

  • Hello, a question .
How long does it take for the selected candidates to be notified once the registration period closes and the selected ones are chosen?

    Thanks and best regards.

  • Looks like big bad brother of arduino due

  • What a beast of a microcontroller!

  • DroneBot Workshop has an excellent video on the board - 1h long.

  • The Arduino Portenta H7 also uses a STM32H747 chipset. So it will be interesting to see if this GIGA R1 board follows the same approach and will also be MbedOS based.

  • "has no official support for the board"

It's still somewhat early days for this Arduino board, which is something to be wary of.

  • I love it. It has a wide range of inputs and the Arducam connection is a killer feature.

The MicroPython support is also a great feature. More people will be using it because of that. I know I will.

Although Edge Impulse has no official support for the board (yet), there's already one project using it . I will definitely enroll for a project with this board.
