Hi all,
As some of you know, I have liked the Cypress Semiconductor products since I got my hands on the PSOC 4 board a couple of years ago.
At that time I called it the "Engineers Magic Wand."
I am very happy to say that Cypress just keeps making their product better and better.
I was able to download the entire development suite and install it with very little effort.
The entire development process anticipates the designers needs and puts documents, app notes and sample software with just a few clicks.
Once you have an example loaded it is a quick process to download to the target board and ready to run.
Since @Douglas Wong is doing a great job of showing you the demos and other features, I will be switching to a blog describing my steps in using the board for my target application.
Now this process will take me some time to do, I have other commitments on my time that will have to come first.
That said, the spectral microscopy field is something that any student can do and immediately help advance the science with unique spectral signatures for everyday plants, animals and products.
My overall project is well within the range of most students and interested makers, so I will be providing a lot of background information in my blog.
For now, I highly recommend the PSOC series for your development needs.
The cost is very attractive and their IDE is one every manufacturer should try to copy.
The people at Cypress Semiconductor have done a fantastic job from start to finish in providing an extremely versatile product.
