What is the product about?
The Element14 SimpleLink Sub-1GHz Sensor-to-Cloud Industrial Gateway provides end-to-end solution-enabling and easy cloud connection.
The kit contains all the components needed to create a full sensor network, including the BeagleBone Black, BeagleBone wireless cape,
and the SimpleLink Dual-Band CC1350 LaunchPad acting as the MAC co-processor. The kit also includes an additional CC1350 LaunchPad acting as a long-range sensor node.
The TI 15.4-Stack software development kit (SDK) for Sub-1GHz star network connectivity and the Linux TI Processor SDK, provides a seamless, out-of-box user experience.

What I received with the bundle?

5Volts Power Supply with universal supportive plug extensions, USB cables, and uSD card with loaded image to boot up the kit and user manual.
Like to mention Kit includes FTDI Serial debugging cable which is really required when you need to port Linux based Operating systems to beaglebone family.
Every component is packed with ESD cover to protect from external immunity and emission.
Power packed bundle after opening including ESD protection covers.

Wireless cape for Beaglebone black:
The BBONE-GATEWAY-CAPE is an add-on board that provides a connectivity and gateway solution for the popular BeagleBone Black platform.
This cape comes with Texas Instrument's WL837MOD pre-certified module - the next generation Dual-Band Industrial Module - Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and BLE.
It also supports ZigBee and NFC; lending itself to support IoT nodes and gateway applications.
Features:
It is recommended for users who own a beaglebone black already to purchase a wireless cape, if not beaglebone wireless is a good choice.
As IOT gateway:
As shown in the below picture, connect the BBB to the CC1350 LaunchPad labeled MAC co-processor.
Connect the 5-V power supply to the BBB and an electrical outlet.
The CC1350 LaunchPad labeled Sensor can be connected to any USB power source using provided USB cable.
connect ftdi serial debug cable, using putty
Use the following login credentials within the debug shell or via ssh:
username: root
password: <empty> (enter)
Once booting finished, You can see SitaraAP wireless network enabled with a good range.
Of course, a secured connection.
