Tesla was a brilliant engineer, but there is no such thing as a free lunch (tanstafl).

I can see how you might be able to establish an open air power grid, but I am not sure it would be able to sustain the energy without a huge source of energy.

As JP Morgan said when he stopped the project, "Where do I put the billing meter?"

I know a lot of people are thinking that nuclear fusion will be that future energy source. Unfortunately, my recent research has shown that nuclear fusion is an endo-energetic process.

That means that there is no surplus energy generated by the process. No energy breakeven point and no source of clean power.

So to reach Tesla's ideal, we will need to find a different source of power.

Cabe, do you really believe this (the fairy tale Tesla wireless bit) will ever work ? (Woops ! I think my opinion slipped out there !)

And even if it did, how would it translate into free energy for everyone on the planet - the infrastructure would still have to be paid for. Hydroelectric power isn't free, why should solar power, even if transmitted by novel means, be free ?
