All by itself what does that really tell us?</p><p>Were people happier in the past? Is the trend up or down?</p><p>In the past we had great things like the cold war, or real war and scurvy. Lots of really bad stuff is not a big concern for you and me, things like water that is drinkable, electricity and shelter.
