Mostly all good.

I found that using the hardware drawing accelerator (D/AVE) does not give a reliable display. It's faster, but there are drawing errors. The photo above is without the accelerator. Crisp.

The adaption path was steep, but all is behaving well now

I got it working.

changes to do after creating a GCC project, with the QE-for-LCD wizard:

fix touch display reset pin to P07
change the loader file. Reserve 2 255K blocks of RAM
adapt the QE and FIT attributes to let the buffers point to those 2 RAM blocks

The results look good from the photo. I've never worked with a capacitive touch-screen, or a proper GUI library for such displays, so it's super-interesting to see the progress!

The IDE configuration method and SDK to enable functionality for the Renesas parts is neat, it is similar for the the RA series too.

Looking forward to seeing how it goes!

I’m fairly sure my review posts had information which may be useful in getting going - I used the Segger EmWin toolchain to create a working UI. Given you now have two boards, how about an example that shows some parallel execution and pipelining? Could be taxing in an interesting way.
