Great Blog Post!! 5 Stars, A#1 whatever much good, I have never messed about with that architecture line. But I have used MSP43x as well as Stellaris/Tiva, C2000.

As I can't stand the Arduino IDE, I do not use it on the MSP430 I just use TI's tool based on Eclipse.

I really don't know why more people that are using an Arduino just buy the MSP43x they are about the same price and you get a real 16 bit CPU, not 8 bits.

And you can get a small RTOS on it as well. One of the MSP43x (number escapes me currently) Launchpads has dual-row headers, so you can use the bigger Booster packs.

From my perspective I think DigitalIn/DigitalOut on mbed are amongst the nicest simplified I/O classes. Very cool : )
