Hopefully you can be a life saver,

I recently installed one of these decks and the CD player was working great. I then decided to try a MD that I verified before inserting. It accepted the disk then promptly switched to no disk inserted. After going through the manual it says it is suppose to automatically eject for pretty much any reason. Apart from that contact the store you purchased from. Same goes for the CD player. Apart from that contact the store you purchased from. Great. Fast forward a few weeks of the CD player working and it suddenly did the same thing.

My main question is if you might have discovered or have photos of a way to manually eject either of the disks without removal? Some players back in the day had that slot for a paper clip to push it out...? My worry is the Lazer died and that is why it's not seeing the disk at all. The I'm also not getting any errors so I'm a little confused. Worst case scenario I can use a phone or portable MD player but I was really enjoying going through old CDs...

Ps I got bit hard by the old Lumix M43 system. The GM1 is such good travel camera! Too bad the secret is already out and prices are double or more compared to 4 years ago...

I miss the days when things were built to last.

I have a Sony CD/Cassette tape player I bought about 25 years ago. Still works and sounds great.

That looks like a stereo that Techmoan (YouTube) would approve of, especially given those prominent analog VU meters!

In those cases where regional differences don't deal with incompatibilities and bhurdles, manufacturers will create artificial ones.

For DVDs and Game computers, where there's no bandwidth or decoding standard difference that they can use to make devices incompatible for a market,
they have built in a regional restriction. Both in the device and in the media.

That indeed looks like a very nice piece of stereo equipment. I have always had a fondness for the Panasonic brand, but lately even high-end manufactures have taken design shortcuts and relaxed standards such that is more difficult to find high-end components with almost reasonable pricing.
