&lt;p&gt;I kept the START signal active longer (until the SPI lifted the BUSY signal).&lt;br /&gt;It&amp;#39;s still not the correct conversation, but promising. This is what&amp;#39;s expected:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;~CS works. Clock gets clocked, but I don&amp;#39;t see the initial conversation happening. I&amp;#39;ll need to restudy my code.
