There is no chance that some good Samaritan secretly routed clocks in this design, I built it from scratch myself. Maybe there are some secret hidden scripts in u-boot or in Ubuntu rootfs,

RE: Solve USB 3.0 issues with this one weird trick

Thanks for that, I would think you do need the clock as well. Is it possible someone wired one internally somehow? I know there is a path to do that - although not advisable due to the additional jitter.

--Dan

RE: Solve USB 3.0 issues with this one weird trick

I have a couple of basic questions. The board that I am working on is missing any clocks connected to GTR_REF_CLK[ .. ]. Somehow all USB3 devices seem to be happy and work at at least 60MB/s. After reading UG1085 I think we'll need to add a differential 52MHz clock to GTR_REF_CLK[0] and probably our USB falls down to USB2.0. Does this sound right?

Another detail that I need to clarify is does the clock have to be synthesized and adjustable like on the Avnet boards or I can simply place a tiny 3x5mm differential oscillator on my custom carrier?

Thanks!

RE: Solve USB 3.0 issues with this one weird trick

Hi everyone,

I wanted to let you know that all the information seems to be loaded up on the product page now!

Happy USB-ing!

--Dan

RE: Solve USB 3.0 issues with this one weird trick

I would rather decapitate my hand and thank you substitute it with a USB 3 Center.

RE: Solve USB 3.0 issues with this one weird trick

Very informative.
