They&amp;#39;ve switched to a character device based interface instead that can be used through the &lt;em&gt;linux/gpio.h&lt;/em&gt; API, there&amp;#39;s also the &lt;a class="jive-link-external-small" href="https://www.beyondlogic.org/an-introduction-to-chardev-gpio-and-libgpiod-on-the-raspberry-pi/" rel="nofollow ugc noopener" target="_blank"&gt;libgpiod library&lt;/a&gt; that makes using it a lot easier.
