My wife's a GP but one day she needed some of her blood taken and decided the easiest thing to do would be to tell me how to do it and let me have a go. A very brave call! Apparently I did a reasonable job. If I can do it, I'm sure a robot can.

I've also got a robot sitting right near me - which I just used for a little project on Hackster.io. I don't think I'll be arming it with a needle though. Sounds like this robot needs some AI and a bit of practice.

Isn't science and engineering great? Initially I cringed when I read the

"..with an overall success rate of 87%."

but it is actually a very good result and very useful for those difficult to get to veins in elderly persons, which can often leave their arms very bruised.
