Regretfully it suffers from the problems four legged crab like robots have, that they are not very good at moving forwards as they can only lift one leg off the ground at any one time and have to move the centre of gravity away from the lifted leg in order to avoid falling over. This results in a complicated gait which mainly works by using the front two legs to pull the body forwards like a turtle in quite small increments. Good fun and cheaper to produce though.

Dubbie

RE: Researchers develop LoCoQuad, an arachnoid-inspired robot

Almost mimicks like a crab, Great build.[View:/resized-image/__size/16x16/__key/commentfiles/f7d226abd59f475c9d224a79e3f0ec07-81077e21-3f6f-440e-b81a-b6c14521165d/contentimage_5F00_1.png:16:16]

RE: Researchers develop LoCoQuad, an arachnoid-inspired robot

Love it!
