The downside is that the orographic rainfall as the air moves up into the mountains will cause much heavier rainfall in the lower areas. That means that a lot of desert areas will once again become lakes and many dry river beds will become full as the water runs down from the mountains.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;So if you think California has flooding issues now, just wait until they get ten times the amount of water they currently see.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;DAB&lt;/p&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.element14.com/aggbug?PostID=9335&amp;AppID=141&amp;AppType=Weblog&amp;ContentType=0" width="1" height="1"&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
