I am able to get the time from NTP server. but I cant relay on that time for ever. so, I like to go with RTC in cc3200. but, I dont have any idea about RTC usage. According to your description above i have gone through PRCMRTC and rtc_hal. But i can't move further to find which i have to use and in hal RTC the input were Nsec and Secs, what does it mean?? what value I have to define there? Please help with the could which set the rtc and gets the RTC value.. It will be a great help for my work.

Thanks in advance.

regards,

prasanth

RE: CC3200 “Internet-on-a-Chip” Getting Started Guide – Part 2

Hi Shabaz,

I'd like to thank you for sharing your knowledge via this informative blog. I have managed to send http GET request to the openweathermap server and receive the weather information. However, I have a doubt i.e. The CC3200 is connected to the openweathermap server using tcp socket through the internet via an access point (Router). Now my doubt is, Is there any way we can come to know when the internet goes down?, if so, what do we check to confirm this?

Regards

VD

RE: CC3200 “Internet-on-a-Chip” Getting Started Guide – Part 2

An interesting blog - beautifully explained the relationship of internet with controller. There is at least a question: How can I create a “.bin” file in CCS. If I use the project wlan_station in CCS, I get the “.bin” file if I activate the HEX option in the project properties. Then I get the “wlan_station.bin” file in release. Then I flash the program as described here. When I write a smal blink program I get no “.bin”. My question is now: what options do I need to store my program in flash of cc3200? Thanks!

RE: CC3200 “Internet-on-a-Chip” Getting Started Guide – Part 2

"For a more detailed background to the Socket API, a good reference book is ‘UNIX Network Programming’ by W.
