&lt;p&gt;The example above shows an LoRaWan uplink from the Arduino.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;received by a gateway in the neighbourhood (&lt;a href="/technologies/internet-of-things/b/blog/posts/set-up-elecrow-ttn-lorawan-gateway-on-raspberry-pi" data-e14adj="t"&gt;mine&lt;/a&gt; [emoticon:c4563cd7d5574777a71c318021cbbcc8])&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;forwarded to TTN&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;within TTN, integrated with their MQTT service&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;on a Node-RED device here, I subscribed to uplink messages&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;the Node-RED debug node dumps the full payload (I used&amp;nbsp;the JSON formatter, could have use a JSON query to only get my ledState)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;And a downlink example:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;TTN received the Node-RED message&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;... and at the next uplink, the Arduino received it too, and switched its LED on.&lt;/p&gt;
