&lt;p&gt;I like the secure option, this would be very useful for important data transfer.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This is no longer true. I created a self signed certificate and key that work with this setup. I&amp;#39;ll document it later ...&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Although I don&amp;#39;t think this matters. The MQTT server doesn&amp;#39;t validate&amp;nbsp;this, as far as I can see.
