I could see this approach working with providing the body additional specific material at pointed parts of the body.

I am thinking about the need for synthetic skin for burn patients. They could deposit nutrients and binder material to seal the skin so that the body could generate skin cells on its own without losing the moisture through the burned area.

I agree with the designer, there is a large potential for this type of medical treatment option just for skin issues alone.

Using this on a small scale, you could make units that could be surgically implanted inside body wounds to do a similar repair to internal organs caused by trauma.
