[mention:cff82ed12b714001a1ba5205f2cb553c:e9ed411860ed4f2ba0265705b8793d05] If you need to monitor the power on MSP430 projects have you looked at some of the devices that support EnergyTrace? I believe the power tracking on that comes from monitoring the on/off cycles of the switching DC/DC converter rather than directly measuring current. An interesting approach. (I could be wrong and have just imagined this. If that's the case, then I just invented it.)

Hi Shabaz,

Great work. This is a timely post for me as I have been struggling with my inadequate bench power supply lately. Something must be done! It has those fiddly twin potentiometers for fine and coarse adjustment, is slow to settle down, can't really accurately set low voltages and currents, etc. Almost everything I do is 5V or below and I was actually thinking about building such a supply today as I worked on my latest project. Thanks for posting and I will go back and read through your development of this project carefully.
