I designed a pretty heavy duty multi-stage charge pump quite a while ago with 10uf capacitors that reached about 50V. It included some high-side switches in the oscillator which also used charge pumps to generate high gate voltages. I still have a bare card kicking around, so I could assemble and test one. At the time, I did not have an oscilloscope and did not test it beyond confirming it worked well enough for the application. It was one of those projects that had to go from concept to shipping a working system in 1 week.
