&lt;p style="margin:0;text-align:left;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.icd-sales.com/image/full/11.jpg"&gt;&lt;img alt="image" src="http://www.icd-sales.com/image/full/11.jpg"  /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;padding:0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;text-align:left;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;How do I reduce Leakage levels using Cellergy Super Capacitors to maximise Battery life?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin:0;text-align:left;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div class="" style="margin:0;text-align:left;"&gt;The very best way is to use a Cellergy Super Capacitor with nominal voltage which is higher than the battery nominal voltage (actually derating; for example use Super Capacitor rated as 4.2V for 3V application instead of using the 3.5V Super Capacitor).&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="" style="margin:0;padding:0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="" style="margin:0;text-align:left;"&gt;A second way is to use a FET.&amp;nbsp; A FET should be placed between the Super Capacitor and ground. The FET should close a circuit during Super Capacitor discharge and charge and open a circuit when the Super Capacitor is totally charged.FET switching is then implemented in the application where low leakage current is required.
