I have seen no hard data, no calculations of efficiency, work load, system life expectancy. All I have seen are just fantastic ideas, almost totally infeasible in real life. Of course, it can be build. But what for? If the power density is low, the efficiency is low, the building and maintenance cost is high... It&amp;#39;s better to develop better battery technologies, more responsible power sources, better balancing of the grid during whole day/week/month/season but&amp;nbsp;all this - using hard, proven, calculated data, not sci-fi ideas. Maybe I&amp;#39;m overly skeptical to this idea but I think there is a reason why we use electrical, not spring-loaded tools, devices and toys. This seems like something straight from a steampunk novel, where industry stopped developping somewhere in past. (Just to clarify - I love steampunk, I love dieselpunk, I love sci-fi, I love fantasy.
