In fact, no need for another power supply from Microsoft, just select on Fast Charge Power Delivery (PD) adapter for surface., plus one good 65W USB PD charger. More portable.

The PD adapter can cheat the USB charger for require power supply.

These power supplies are connectors are such a pain. My partner had two Microsoft Surfaces and specifically moved platform because of how many replacement chargers she has had to buy. She had strain relief fail a few times and the charger its self other times.

I suspect that all of the shielding and casing material overheats one or more of the components to the point where they fail.

Could just be poor component selection, or it could be intentional to sell more supplies.

One the images above it looks like one component is on an angle, almost completely missing its intended pad....?
