Good review. I personally have not used one before. But thinking if it would be useful for soldering or to monitor the temperature of the devices when running for a long period.

Very good review.

I picked up a thermal camera a couple of years ago at Walmart of all places.

I have not seen it offered anywhere else.

It was a Melexis GigaDevice MLX90640 & BD32.

I am not sure of the IR pixel capability, but it is probably in the 64 by 64 range good for about 300 C.

Great review. This does look like a pretty handy device. I have played around with some thermal imaging based on a Panasonic, (Grid-EYE) AMG8833 sensor (in_search_of_an_idea_diode), but this is a huge step up. I like the overlay of thermal image on top of an actual image, which I thought about attempting, but this might be a better option.
