eCalc - the most relaibale RC Calculator on the Web

Apart from that typo in title, it really is reliable and very easy to use calculator that you can use before you buy components. That way you can match them properly and avoid buying wrong motors or ESCs.

Also, here's an online store where you can get parts at good prices: Radio Control Planes, Helicopters, Cars, Boats, FPV and Quadcopters - Hobbyking

And one more thing, KV does not stand for kilovolt, it's the motor velocity constant and represents the motor RPM per volt (2 Motor velocity constant, back EMF constant).

Kudos to your link! This is a similar path I am taking. I am considering the Multistar motors and ESCs but how they perform I have yet to see once I get them. Keep this up. Excellent project! You might want to check out Melolontha - Building an IoT quadcopter (designed around BeagleBone) if you need any quick ideas - as I understand from nmanchov plenty of spare propellers are a good idea during initial prototyping!
